Installation and updates

Arclink is distributed via either a .msi or exe setup file. 

The .msi file allows Arclink to be integrated with enterprise software delivery systems, reducing the load on your IT department. Once installed the connection to the central database must be configured on each client. However, once this has been configured all updates can be rolled out automatically.

All Arclink customers are supplied a dedicated ftp site through which all updates will be distributed.

Database updates

Database updates may be required as part of a system update. These database update are applied using the Db Module that is a part of the Arclink product suite. A version check is in place to ensure that the client application is in sync with the database. Clients that are out of date will not be able to connect to the database. License keys are also applied using the Db Module.
